My aim with my metalwork has always remained the same.  Every time I pick up my hammer to every sketch I make and every photograph I take.  I am always attempting to show the beauty of the metal, and this I try to achieve by using various techniques of the ‘smith’ (forging, hammering, etching and polishing etc.) to manipulate the material into various objects and shapes. In many ways the pieces I make are secondary, they are merely vessels to 'show off ' the material.
